This group of trees was too hard to resist. Although we were on a “poppy” hunt, anything goes and I always have my P/S Canon with me. A multi shot panorama captured in infrared with converted Canon Power Shot 800IS. Color achieved in Photoshop by swapping the red and blue channels.

I captured this Gilded Flicker last December from my living room window. He was eating the fruit on one of my barrel cactus. It’s been my goal to fill my yard with native plants that wildlife could eat from and I’m starting to get rewards for my hard work!
