DIG Annual Seminar

December 29th, 2009 by admin

Hi to all,

The Digital Imaging Group is proud to announce another in our series of annual seminars featuring well known and accomplished photographers/digital imaging experts.  Following George Lepp (2007), Arthur Morris (2008) and Lewis Kemper (2009), we’re happy that Jennifer Wu has agreed to come to the Valley to share her expertise with DIG members and guests on Saturday, February 20, 2010.

Jennifer is a “Fine Art Nature Photographer” and will share her techniques with us that apply to many photographic fields, such as depth of field blending, HDR, content aware scaling, photographing the stars, etc.  We have asked her to select a few of her best and favorite images and walk us through her process from initial visualization, composition and lighting and on through image optimization and printing.  Our time together should be interesting, informative and rewarding for those who are in the intermediate and advanced skill levels of photography and digital image processing.

The seminar will again be held at the Hilton Resort on 6333 North Scottsdale Road, in Scottsdale.  The seminar will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 1.5 hour lunch break (lunch is not included).  Check in will begin at 8:00 a.m. and there will be coffee and pastries available prior to the start of the event.

Cost for the seminar only will again be $30 but for $45 you can attend the seminar and receive a year’s membership in DIG, a $10 savings.  DIG membership for 2010 alone is $25.  The DIG seminar discount cannot be transferred to a non-DIG member.  Refunds for the event will be made until two weeks prior to the seminar (includes requests received by February 6th).

Seating will be limited for this seminar, so you are encouraged to register early.  It is expected that we will not be able to accommodate everyone due to room restrictions.  This message is being sent to 2009 seminar participants and all DIG members.

CLICK HERE to download the registration application. Mail it along with your check made payable to “DIG” to Ed Mertz; 30600 N. Pima Rd. Lot #115, Scottsdale, AZ 85266-1856.  We apologize that we cannot process credit or debit cards.  When your registration application and check has been received and your reservation accepted, you will receive an e-mail of confirmation.  Contact Ed with questions at: edmertz@earthlink.net, or Chuck Williams at: chuckwill@cox.net
